Shipping/Receiving Assistant

The Shipping/Receiving Assistant assists in all shipping and receiving operations.

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, 11:00am – 7:30pm

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares all skids and cartons for scheduled shipment including labeling, skid or carton preparation, shipment record keeping, and transfer to carrier.
  • Prepares all skids and cartons for subout deliveries.
  • Attends company meetings as requested where discussions relate to distribution and shipping.
  • Maintains files, guides, directories, and equipment to perform assigned responsibilities.
  • Assures that all work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly.
  • Assists in loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
  • Unload incoming trucks and verify accuracy of receiving documents
  • Responsible for noting any damage on incoming shipments and notifying the proper departments
  • Ensures that receiving counts match packing lists and purchase orders
  • Compiles distribution lists and imports into FedEx
  • Assists in resolving any discrepancies
  • Collects all documentation for inbound freight and routes to the proper record keeping unit
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Follow all safety rules/regulations, company procedures and policies
  • Performs other duties as requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent reaching, bending and stooping.
  • Frequent standing.
  • Manual dexterity.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Intermediate computer skills

Offset Press Operator

The Offset Press Operator performs manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance and operation of a six-color offset printing press. SHIFT:  Monday – Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:30am

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reads instructions from job jacket and sets up or directs set-up of press based on instructions.
  • Makes job ready by running samples to adjust print quality, registration, color settings and mixings.
  • Makes final pre-run inspection of job and approves of confers with supervisor for approval. Responsible for quality of printed work with defined levels of authority.
  • Monitor quality throughout entire run-color, registration, scumming, marking and etc.
  • Provide complete and accurate information at shift change.
  • Operates or directs operation of six-color printing press to print in accordance with job orders.
  • Monitors pH and conductivity of fountain solution on offset press.
  • Supervises press helper on multi-color press.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on press such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and minor adjustments to rollers and other small moving parts.
  • Maintains and reads Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Sees to proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
  • Operates or assists on other pressroom equipment and presses if needed and when work load permits.
  • Assists in cleaning up and keeping immediate work area neat and orderly.
  • Deals with customers and clients in a professional and polite manner.
  • Performs prepress tasks such as stripping or burning plates and paper trimming when necessary.
  • Performs other tasks as required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years’ work experience on the same or functionally similar press.
  • Requires good knowledge of how to mix and produce correct color in printing.
  • Strong knowledge of applicability of various jobs to press.
  • Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions and set up press to carry out instructions.
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Thorough knowledge of problem-solving on press.
  • Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions.
  • Strong understanding of prepress functions.

Digital Production Supervisor

The Digital Production Supervisor oversees all aspects of the second shift Digital Printing department.

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 12:00am

The Production Supervisor will provide leadership to second shift production employees and fills in as needed according to employee and production schedules.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guides second shift production team employees and gives daily reports to Director of Operations. Makes recommendations in regards to work flow and completion.
  • Makes sure all jobs that are due each day, ship on time.
  • Coordinates the workflow of jobs between departments.
  • Fills in any working gaps of printing and/or finishing as needed according to employee and production schedules.
  • Maintains and checks on production quality.
  • Understands and follows work order direction. Questions to the point of clarity, as necessary.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Imagine Express standards on various substrates, within quality expectations, in a safe manner.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Follows all safety protocols.
  • Assists other print operators in material handling as necessary.
  • Performs other tasks as required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • College or technical degree in related field and/or minimum of 5 years experience preferred
  • Direct supervisory skills and experience including performance management and conducting performance reviews.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication.
  • Strong oral/written communications skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrate positive safety attitude.
Zund/MCT Operator

The Zund/MCT Operator will complete all specialized Zund/I-Cut finishing of job items.

SHIFTS:  6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to read and understand work order.
  • Operate Zund-ICut equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of quality per specifications.
  • Report any problems and/or discrepancies of products to Finishing Manager.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Work overtime when needed.
  • Performs other tasks as requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for 8 or more hours
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent/Technical or equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions
  • Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Basic measuring skills including Standard and Metric units
  • Basic computer skills

Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for all aspects of operating the large format dye-sub Fabric calendaring equipment to Imagine! Express’ production and quality standards, within budget and on time.

SHIFTS:  1st and 2nd

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates all Equipment.
  • Understands and follows work order direction. Questions to the point of clarity, as necessary.
  • Produces product to spec, within budget, and in expected timeframe.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturers and Imagine! Express’ standards on various fabrics, within quality expectations, in a safe manner.
  • Accounts for material consumed on job by job basis
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance functions to insure optimal printing conditions.
  • Monitors output quality throughout whole course of a run.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Follows all safety protocols.
  • Assists other print operators in material handling as necessary.
  • Interacts with customers and clients in a professional and polite manner as needed.
  • Works overtime when needed.
  • Performs other tasks as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to bend, lift and squat while loading heavy rolls of materials on and off press
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Environment is moderately noisy
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. constantly and up to 100 lbs. frequently

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Mac and Windows Operating Systems
  • Must possess high mechanical aptitude
  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills
