Kitting/Quality Technician

The Kitting/Quality Technician works on packaging, custom packaging, special kitting needs, quality control and custom hand finishing needed.

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 10:30pm


  • Performs visual quality image checks while completing packaging of final product per the directions on the work order.
  • Works on custom packaging & kitting as well as assembles and packs special cartons, assemble custom packaging and loading of skids.
  • Assists in any hand-finishing tasks as assigned.
  • Operates equipment as needed.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of general shipping procedures and requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and create solutions.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to develop new techniques for hand finishing of jobs.
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of computer operations.

Digital Printer

The Digital Fabric Print Operator is responsible for all aspects of operating the large format dye-sub Fabric printing equipment to Imagine! Express’ production and quality standards, within budget and on time.

SHIFT:  6am – 6pm, rotating


  • Operates all Equipment.
  • Understands and follows work order direction. Questions to the point of clarity, as necessary.
  • Produces product to spec, within budget, and in expected timeframe.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturers and Imagine! Express’ standards on various fabrics, within quality expectations, in a safe manner.
  • Accounts for material consumed on job by job basis
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance functions to insure optimal printing conditions.
  • Monitors output quality throughout whole course of a run.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Follows all safety protocols.
  • Assists other print operators in material handling as necessary.
  • Deals with customers and clients in a professional and polite manner as needed.
  • Works overtime when needed.


  • Ability to bend, lift and squat while loading heavy rolls of materials on and off press
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Environment is moderately noisy
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. constantly and up to100 lbs. frequently


  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Mac and Windows Operating Systems
  • Must possess high mechanical aptitude
  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to follow and document procedures
  • Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions and set up printers to carry out the jobs
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Thorough knowledge of fabric dye-sub print operations and functions

Prepress Operator/Photo Retoucher

Works with Customer files by preflighting, checking for proper setup, checking/proofing for color and sets the resulting jobs up for the Printing and Finishing Departments.


  • Examine client’s Wide Format and Digital electronic files to determine potential. When problems are found, instruct the Sales Rep or CSR to contact client and inform them of the problem.
  • Check Customer’s files for: size, bleeds, blends and color breaks. These should match the Digi work order that is written up by the CSR:

               Fonts:  Verify if they are there; are they styled or not

   Photos:  Check for resolution, color, bleed, drop shadows, composites and paths

   Art:  Check for color breaks and blends

  • Examine the files with use of Adobe Creative Suite and Creative Cloud I-Cut Preflight but also digitally pulls the client files apart to determine any additional problems.
  • Run all client documents on lasers to compare the clients supplied lasers.
  • Responsible for correct color matching by testing for output and color/retouching photos per clients instructions.
  • Manage E-mail and FTP site (clients post files on these sites for Preflight to pick-up for jobs coming into Imagine!,which are examined by the department).
  • Tracks chargeable time to each job inside the order entry system with a minimum of overtime.
  • Respond to questions from employees and customers.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Work overtime when needed.



  • Vocational/technical school or college degree in electronic prepress and/or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop CC including: Color, high end model retouching.
  • Sheet Fed Offset experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years employment experience in an electronic pre-press environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated skills in all production processes related to electronic pre-press activities, including software, hardware, equipment, and materials.
  • Esko Automation Suite and Metrix software knowledge a plus
  • Ability to read planning layouts and produce imposed files.
  • Ability to work on complex jobs in a fast paced, quality focused environment.
  • Ability to use problem-solving skills in producing jobs effectively.

The Stitcher/Sewer will complete all stitching/sewing and hand-finishing processes for the completion of fabric jobs.

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, 2:30 – 11:00pm


  • Work with production to minimize defective material.
  • Tape, sew, stitch and finish fabric jobs.
  • Assure that all work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly.
  • Follows all safety protocols.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested.


  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in the sewing industry.
  • Experience in the printing industry is preferred.
  • Experience on industrial sewing machines required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic measuring skills in both Standard and Metric units.
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to perform with little supervision.
  • Frequent reaching, bending and sitting.
  • Ability to use foot or knee controls of industrial sewing machines
  • Manual dexterity.
