Digital Pressroom Manager

The Digital Pressroom Manager oversees all aspects of the Digital Printing department.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs Digital Print Operators activities to meet customer requirements of quality, quantity and scheduling.
  • Achieves a high level of employee efficiency and morale through leadership and the use of sound management and human relations principles.
  • Meets material, waste and spoilage standards.
  • Assigns work and determines scheduling.
  • Establishes detailed working procedures that are followed on all shifts.
  • Establishes clearly defined areas of responsibility for all team members and holds them accountable for the results.
  • Organizes effective training programs to upgrade and advance individuals as fast as openings develop.
  • Enforces strict adherence to maintenance routines and demands standards of order and cleanliness in the pressroom area.
  • Assures the proper reporting of time and material by printroom employees.
  • Develops and maintains an inventory system on all printroom related materials and supplies.
  • Responsible for conducting regular departmental meeting to communicate and inform employees of departmental issues, procedural changes, company/departmental goals & results, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of technical developments that may affect press efficiency and profitability.
  • When requested, directly consults with and advises various company personnel. Provides advisory support to the Sales force on technical and capacity capabilities of the pressroom.  Provides supporting information to Estimators.  Provides advice and direction to those in production planning on any specifications, questions or problems.
  • Sees that safety training protocol is followed.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • College or technical degree in related field and/or equivalent experience of 5 to 10 years.
  • Direct supervisory skills & experience including performance management and conducting performance reviews.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication.
  • Strong oral/written communications skills.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Basic Math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of production materials.
  • Knowledge of quality methods and techniques.

Warehouse Inventory Coordinator

The Warehouse Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing Imagine Express’ warehouse and distribution of materials throughout the building.

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages warehouse inventory and material distribution processes
  • Ensures accuracy of warehouse inventory
  • Completes inventory cycle counts
  • Creates and maintains efficient work flow of warehouse space
  • Oversees the receipt and delivery of materials entering or leaving the warehouse
  • Establishes schedules pertaining to materials services functions
  • Evaluates space utilization and suggests methods for improving layout
  • Maintains a clean and safe warehouse area
  • Processes transactions utilizing manual and/or RF technology and/or by identifying items on a paper pick ticket according to bin location, part number, and/or description, or other method used within facility.
  • Moves materials in and out of the facility
  • Enforces quality standards
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum of three years warehouse and inventory management experience preferred

Laser Table Operator

Completes all specialized laser cutting tasks using 126” auto-advancing MCT Laser Table.

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 10:30pm

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to read and understand work order.
  • Operate MCT Laser Table, use hot knife when needed
  • Must have full understanding of Cut Pilot 5.0 machine software
  • Awareness of all different types of media and fabrics trimmed on table
  • Maintain a high level of quality per specifications.
  • Report any problems and/or discrepancies of products to Dye Sub Manager.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Work overtime when needed.
  • Performs other tasks as requested.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent/Technical or equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions
  • Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Understanding of stretch conversions and fitments of fabrics in frames
  • Basic measuring skills including Standard and Metric units
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliability through attendance, punctuality and attention to work station.
  • Demonstrates positive safety attitude.
  • Ability to stand for 8 or more hours
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.

Digital Print Operator

The Digital Print Operator is responsible for all aspects of operating large format UV printing equipment to Imagine Express’ production and quality standards, within budget and on time. Daily activity will include material handling and finishing as assigned.

SHIFT:  6am – 6pm, or, 6pm – 6am, rotating

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates large format UV press
  • Understands and follows work order direction. Questions to the point of clarity, as necessary.
  • Produces product to spec, within budget, and in expected timeframe.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Imagine Express’ standards on various substrates, within quality expectations, in a safe manner.
  • Accounts for material consumed on job by job basis
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance functions to insure optimal printing conditions.
  • Monitors output quality throughout whole course of a run.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Works overtime when needed.
  • Performs other tasks as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to bend, lift and squat while loading heavy substrates on and off press
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Environment is moderately noisy
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. constantly and up to 100 lbs. frequently

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Mac and Windows Operating Systems
  • Must possess high mechanical aptitude
  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to follow and document procedures
  • Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions and set up printers to carry out the jobs
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Thorough knowledge of print operations and functions

Kitting Line Lead

The Line Lead is responsible for a kitting job from beginning to end.  This involves leading and instructing General Worker’s and Temporary employees in running and completing the job accurately and on time.  In addition, completing any necessary paperwork related to the jobs.

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, 2:30 – 11:00pm

  • Direct employees to finish kit while also reporting to Supervisor for next kitting assignment. This includes delegating duties to other employees on the line to ensure that the next kit is ready to run.
  • Assign tasks to General Workers to help keep Line flowing, as well as help them advance.
  • Make necessary adjustments during kitting process to keep lines moving as efficiently as possible without jeopardizing quality.
  • Ensure accuracy and proficiency on their kitting line.
  • Report to Supervisor if issues occur regarding temps or other employees.
  • Respect and cooperate with individuals and assist others in reaching objectives.
  • Follow all safety rules/regulations, company procedures and policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
  • Continually strive to learn and improve all processes.
  • Instruct, coach and support personnel in performance of their job descriptions while running small kits.

Skills AND Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of lead experience in production line environments.
  • Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.
  • Reliability though attendance, punctuality and attention to work station.
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to provide work direction to and train employees.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to work well with both line employees and management.
  • Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize.
Preflight Operator - Temporary

This is a part-time, temporary position, Monday – Friday, 20-30 hours per week.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Examine client electronic files to predetermine potential problems before the files reach the prepress department. When problems are found, instruct the Imagine! CSR to contact client and inform them of the problem.
  • Check in-clients files for size, bleeds, blends and color breaks; verify if fonts are present and whether they are styled; and notify CSR of any low resolution graphics.
  • Run all client documents on lasers and deliver to the CSR.
  • Respond to questions from Imagine! EPP staff and clients.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.
  • Frequent standing.
  • Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Previous experience in an electronic prepress environment is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop required
  • Ability to work on complex jobs in a fast paced, quality focused environment.
  • Ability to use problem-solving skills in producing jobs effectively.
  • Must have strong attention to detail
